
Rear of trailer
- I will check the rear overall is not damaged, that it ‘s clean and free of debris, and no missing bolts or rivets.
- I will check the splash guards are not cut or worn, mounted securely, and no more than 8” off the ground.
- I will check the door(s) open and close properly.
- (Note: you are actually complete at this time, the rest is redundant).
- I will check the hinges are properly mounted and secure and no missing bolts. (Note: only describe your actual vehicle, if no swinging doors, you can check the hinges but also say (‘if there were swinging doors.” On this trailer, check the cables.
- I will check the vent is properly mounted and secure, is clean and free of debris. (Note: only describe your actual vehicle, if no vent, you can check it but say “if it had one”).
- I will check the handles are properly mounted and secure, not cracked or broken, no missing bolts, and they work.
- I will check the D.O.T. safety reflective tape is in place and clean.
- I will check the tail lights are secure, clean, not cracked or broken, red in color, and they work.
- I will check the running lights are secure, clean, not cracked or broken, red in color, and they work.
- I will check the license plate light is secure, clean, not cracked or broken, and it works.
- Right side of tractor trailer:
- I will check the right side of my tractor and trailer as I did the left side.
