Standing on left side of engine:
- I will check all my hoses and wires this side as I did on the other side, that they are not cracked, frayed, or broken, that they are mounted securely, and not obstructing any moving parts. I would also check that the hoses are not leaking.
- I will check my windshield washer fluid is filled and the container and cap are secure.
- I will check my air compressor is mounted securely, not damaged, and it works. It is gear and belt driven. I will check it’s belt and all other belts on this side the same as I did on the other side, that they are not cracked, frayed, or excessively worn and there is no more than 3/4 inch play at the center.
- I will check the power steering reservoir is mounted securely and not damaged or leaking. This is where I check the level and also where I fill it. I would check the level is above the refill mark.
- I will check my power steering hoses are mounted securely and not damaged or leaking.
- I will check my power steering pump is mounted securely, not damaged or leaking, and it works. It is gear driven.
